Hello and welcome to the digital portfolio of Rebecca A. Fox.
Professional Goal: It is my goal to continually educate myself and strive to successfully meet the educational needs of all learners within my classroom in a manner that will allow them to achieve their greatest potential and become responsible citizens of the world.
Personal Perspective: In January of 2006, I became a first time mother to my son, Colby, after years of believing it would never happen. Since this time, I have learned the truest definition of unconditional love. As we all know, bringing up a child today takes every spare moment. My four-year-old energetic son keeps me hopping and young at heart. However, I do have numerous interests in which I indulge whenever I can; they include cooking, baking, gardening, journaling, reading, and walking/chatting with friends.
Professional Perspective: I am an educator. Just about the only term that defines me more than educator is mother, and honestly each year I become a “mother” to a whole new group of children. Of course most teachers claim to adore their students, but I truly do. I spend many after school hours in my classroom trying to prepare lessons that will excite, entice, and enhance my students’ learning. Many a sleepless night I’ve experienced worrying about students’ circumstances that are likely out of my control. However, when I do finally fall asleep, I find myself searching even my deepest dreams for solutions. The end of each school year is always a bittersweet experience, for I am eagerly anticipating the time and energy to share with my own child, yet I know I will dearly miss my school children very much. I am proud to be an educator!
